DESIGN
DESIGN na Curved: No. This is a very simple TV.

GAMING
INPUT LAG sony r412c input lag Input Lag is almost same without the Game Mode. So playing games in the Game Mode does not make a significant difference on the amount of lag.
RESOLUTION
480P na The TV is not able to upscale the low resolution content at all. So DVD's and other 480p content will not cover the entire TV screen and there will be a thick black border on either side of the screen depending upon exact resolution.
720Psony r412c resolution 720p The exact resolution of this TV is 1366 x 1280, while 720p is 1280 x 720, therefore 720p will also look little blurry due to resolution mismatch.

Below are the Picture Settings for a dark room. This is a very basic model therefore calibration is pretty straightforward. Just copy the settings mentioned below. sony r412c picture settings
Conclusion: Picture Quality of this TV is not that good considering its price and brand name of Sony. Also it has no upscaling feature available so SD videos played from DVD will not look that good. We have not technically reviewed sound quality of this TV but it has got amazing sound due to woofers available at the bottom and the sound is loud as well. So better you should buy Samsung J4003 which is available at Rs.21,400. It has a much better picture quality than Sony R412c but you have to somehow compromise on the audio quality.
