VU D7545 Review
Type : LED     Resolution : 720p     Refresh Rate : 50 Hz
The VU D7545 is a low end HD Ready TV. It is priced below the competing budget TVs but gives a disappointing picture quality. There are few settings to adjust the picture and thus the RGB colours are unbalanced even after calibration, this results in oversaturated colours which do not looks good. The build quality is average and there is no high end features available as found in the mid to expensive TVs. Overall, it’s a very basic TV with limited set of features.
Design
Curved : No
The D7545 has a basic design which looks good in the room except the big logo placed at the bottom frame of the TV. The borders are quite thin and are made of plastic. There is an LED bulb placed at the bottom which turns Red or Blue when the TV is turned Off or ON respectively. The TV is thick especially at the bottom and it will stick out if wall mounted. The rear part is also made of plastic and the inputs on the back will be hard to access if the TV is wall mounted. The table stand has a wide footprint and thus a wide table is required to hold the TV.
Picture Quality
The TV has sub par picture quality. The dark room performance is bad due to the poor contrast ratio, bad panel uniformity and absence of the local dimming feature. Bright room performance is also average due to the medium peak brightness. Colours of the TV are just sufficient for SDR content and insufficient for the HDR content. There is no calibration option available to adjust the picture quality.
Peak Brightness
Peak 2% Window : 269.7 cd/m2
Peak 100% Window : 269.7 cd/m2
The TV does not get very bright and has mediocre peak brightness which is not sufficient to block reflections falling on the TV screen during the day.
Panel Uniformity
Max Colour Dev. (50% pattern) : 2.0
Avg Luminance Dev. (5% pattern) : 20.21%
The screen is dark at the corner and the TV has decent colour uniformity.
The panel uniformity is bad. There is flash lighting on the left corners and clouding in the middle. Also there is some backlight bleeding below the top border not visible in the test picture.
Gamut Coverage
sRGB gamut coverage : 93.96%
Adobe RGB gamut coverage : 72.33%
The colour reproduction is bad on the TV. Some colours are quite saturated and the TV lacks the options to calibrate the picture, due to which the picture looks artificial. Gamut coverage is average and combined with poor contrast ratio and over saturated colours the picture does not look good and lacks the natural look.

Conclusion
The VU D7545 is a very basic TV. Considering the price, expectedly the TV has good quality in every aspect. The TV is recommended only if the budget is too low, better quality TVs are available if you can increase the budget.
